Annabelle Meacham is a full-time artist and Southerner.
Born in Virginia, the daughter of a Naval Officer, she
attended schools in California and Florida, and went
to high school in London, England. She graduated from
Florida State University, and later attended Northwest
Mississippi Community College and The Memphis College
of Art.
She has had one-artist exhibitions at Duke University,
The Meridian Museum of Art, The University of Mississippi,
The Arts Center of the Ozarks, and The Savanna College
of Art and Design. Meacham has had work selected for
juried exhibitions by the Senior Curator of Contemporary
Art at The Whitney Museum in New York City, and by the
Curator of The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.
Her work is represented by galleries in Tennessee, Arkansas,
and Mississippi, and is in the collections of Federal
Express, Promus Hotel Corp., and Holiday Inns.
In 2003, the annual reader's poll of Memphis Woman magazine
named Annabelle Meacham as their favorite artist.
