Kim Wong came to the United States in 1949. He lived and went to school in New London, Connecticut. His family moved to Friars Point, MS where he attended high school. After graduation, he then served in the Armed Forces for two years in Korea. After being discharged from the military, he moved to Clarksdale where he opened a grocery store and a Chinese restaurant. In 1985, he started a snack food manufactory plant known as Kim's Snack Food Processing. The median of watercolor is his most favorite type of painting.
