Looking at one of Pryor Buford Graeber's paintings
is a pleasant trip into color, form and movement.
Her unpretentious paintings of landscapes, farm fields,
gardens, and rural scenes invite the viewer into a beautiful
world of vivid color.
Pryor has been involved in creative pursuits and art education since early childhood in her beloved Mississippi Delta. Growing up on Buford Plantation in Talahatchie County has her deeply rooted in the beauty of the familiar flatland, its majestic trees and endless sky. Although Pryor never expected to become a professional artist, she studied art at Southern Methodist University and abroad. Her paintings have been enjoyed and treasured by family and friends. In Mississippi, where the artist resides, her work has been sold to benefit countless charities.
Pryor has established a solid reputation in the art community. She has recently returned from France where she painted and studied in Aix en Provence.
Pryor enjoys her life and shares her happiness and
energy with others through her work. When asked
what's next, she says: "I am constantly challenged
and excited by the world and its vivid array of colors
and landscapes…and at the same time I am comforted
and calmed when I paint my way back home." |
