I spent my early life being an average boy who liked
to draw. Through school I found
myself drawing custom cars, cartoons and things that
interested me. At the age of 22, three
friends gave me a set of oils that opened a new world
for me. I've donated numerous waterfowl
works to Ducks Unlimited. In 1979 I was honored as Artist
of the Year for the Louisiana
Wildfowl Carvers Guild. In 1983 I was named Artist of
the Year is Mississippi by Ducks
Unlimited.
You may find my work collected locally as well as throughout
the southeast. I've
illustrated whimsical outdoor literature and wildgame
cookbooks as well as a collection of
outdoor stories by Mississippi writers "The Magnolia
Club" by Robert Hit Neal. My work has
been published in Mid-South magazines, Ducks Unlimited,
The Mississippi Game and Fish and
Outdoors in Georgia.
I continue to record southern outdoor landscapes along
the Mississippi River that may be
vanishing before our eyes.
